Margaret MURRAY (née BACHMAN)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Margaret Bachman Murray, in Kirkland, Québec on November 21, 2024, at the age of 93.
A determined and resilient woman, she lived a long and full life, surrounded by her late husband Raymond Murray, their four children: the late Suzanne (Guy Clément), Louise (Jean-François Anfossi), Marc (Trisha Delormier) and Carolyn (Stephen Angers), their six grandchildren, Amélie, Catherine, Liliane, John Michael, Marie-Claire and Evelyne, her in-laws and several nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Born on January 8, 1931, she grew up in Montfort in the Laurentians and was the loving wife of her late husband, Raymond Murray (2012), and a devoted mother. She survived many of life’s hardships, including the loss of her eldest daughter Suzanne (2020), but always conducted herself with dignity, determination, and an unwavering love for her family. Margaret embodied humility, selflessness and simplicity in every aspect of her life, ensuring that her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and love.
She enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, baking, knitting, crafting, and raising her family. She was known for her work ethic and strong sense of family, including extended family.
Those who knew her will always remember her strength, her love and her devotion to her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren and all those who were touched by her generosity.
Margaret will be deeply missed, but we will never forget her. Rest in peace, Mom, you were an incredible woman and an irreplaceable presence in our lives.
