Louise NICODEMO ( Née ST-AMAND)

Passed away , aged 74
Val Morin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Nicodemo on November 4, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 74. She is predeceased by her husband of over 52 years, Fernando Nicodemo. She leaves behind her children Tina (Dale Braun), Anthony (Mai Miyake) and Marco, her grandchildren Jacob, Erica, Sophie and Layla, her siblings Patricia (Mike Sacoutis), Gary (Joanne), Keith and Peter, and many nieces and nephews and other family and friends across Canada, the USA, England, Italy and Japan.

Following a successful career as an Auditor for Sunlife Insurance, Louise kept herself even busier in her retirement doing the activities she loved, spending time with her grandchildren and volunteering her time at the Montreal General Hospital as well as many events and causes in her local community of Val Morin.

She loved to travel, ski, golf, ride horses and keep her family warm in her beautifully knitted creations. She had an intense love for her family, and she was passionate about animals of all kinds. She was happiest when taking long walks in the mountains with her beloved dogs, Monty & Zuma. These are small glimpses into what she loved most in this world. She will be remembered as a fun-loving, accomplished woman of impeccable style, who was funny, generous, loving and a true friend. The wonderful relationships that filled her life reflected the authentic and kind person that she was. She will be dearly missed.

We wish to thank all her physicians and the medical staff at the MUHC, as well as Dr. Alexandre Chouinard and Michel, Sonia, Janie, Melissa and the entire nursing and support team at the CLSC in Ste-Agathe for their empathy, compassion and steadfast care during her battle with cancer. We encourage donations to the Cancer Research Society or the charity of your choice in Louise’s memory.

The family will receive condolences on Thursday, November 4, 2021, from 1:00-4:00pm, as well as Friday, November 5, 2021, from 9:00-11:00am and 1:00-3:00pm, followed by a celebration of life at 3:00pm at the funeral home of:
