George DAWSON
George Harold Dawson, of Mille Isles, Quebec, passed away peacefully
at the age 85, on May 18, 2025, at the Sainte Agathe des monts Hospital
under the care of the Palliative team.
Born in Mille Isles, January 5, 1940. George was a long standing member of the community. He will be missed by many. Some of George’s innumerable accomplishments include, long time valued employee at Montreal Lithography in Lavel, Quebec, dedicated town councillor in Mille Isles for years, founding member of MIRSA, committed member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Predeceased by his Wife, Helen May Boland, on May 11, 2007. And his brother Lincoln Dawson in 2016.
George is survived by his sister Millie Gilmore (late Pete) of Edmonton, Alberta, brothers Alan Dawson (late Sharon), Stanley Dawson(late Isa), Clifford Dawson (Carol) all of Mille Isles, Quebec, and sister Norma Dawson (late Wally) of Red Deer, Alberta.
George leaves behind his two children, Bob Dawson (Sheri) of Olds, Alberta, Lori-Ann Dunphy (Peter),of Fredericton, New Brunswick, grandchildren, Jamie-lynn and Jack, and Riley, Cole, and Lucy, and great-grandson, Emmett.
George’s absence will be felt in the heart of many nieces and nephews across the country. He was a friend and a mentor to many folks who will miss himreatly.
No service is planned at this time. Donations can be made in George’s memory to Shriners Hospitals for Children Canada, the Cancer Society, or a charity of choice.
